Alan Johnson visits Doulas

Alan Johnson, the Secretary of State for Health joined some of the volunteer doulas, local mums and other members of the health and social community from across the city in a Celebration Event on 26th October. The purpose of the event was to thank the doulas for all their hard work, commitment and time they had contributed to the project. Julie Green, Midwifery Lecturer from Hull University presented her findings from the research she has been conducting on the project and it was also an opportunity for some of the mums and doulas to meet up again. Many thanks to all for their time - it was a great couple of hours and highlighted the great work the volunteers have been doing with the mums across Hull.
